TOP 10

TOP 10 THINGS THAT HAPPENED IN MY LIFE RECENTLY...in no certain order.

  1. I graduated from college with a Bachelors of Science in Computer Information Systems...nerds unite!
  2. I started my first real job working in the I.T. Department of Life Action Ministries
  3. I went on vacation and swam with dolphins
  4. I rode a Segway for two hours...nerds unite!
  5. I was accepted to travel with Life Action Ministries as a children's minister (I will be teaching 2nd-6th grade kids)
  6. God challenged me about prayer
  7. God opened my eyes to a suuuuuuuweeet passage in scripture...see below.
  8. I am excercising a little...not much...but better
  9. I had a bacterial infection in my eye (a form of pink eye)
  10. I updated my xanga, woot woot!

Genesis 15:1 After these things the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision, saying, "Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, your exceedingly great reward."

Think about this verse for a moment...let it sink in. God did NOT say, all this land is your exceedingly great reward, or the blessing of children as numerous as the stars in the sky is your exceedingly great reward. He said I am your exceedingly great reward.

What a contrast to my value system. I value things and people and experiences. But do I view my Lord and Savior as my exceedingly great reward? Just something to ask and ponder...and change from!
